L.A.U.R.A Events

Bringing Healing, Resources, and Community Together

L.A.U.R.A. events create safe, welcoming spaces where families can heal, youth can thrive, and residents can connect to the resources they need.

WHY WE GATHER

At L.A.U.R.A. (Life After Uncivil Ruthless Acts), community events are a vital part of our mission to enhance the quality of life in South Central Los Angeles.

Through weekly meetings, monthly gatherings, and annual events, we empower youth, support victim-survivors and families, and strengthen community collaboration because lasting change happens when communities come together.

Peace Walk

Grief becomes action. Remembrance becomes resilience.

The Peace Walk begins our day together, uniting families, survivors, youth, and community members in one collective voice to say: End Violence. Choose Peace.

We walk alongside families whose loved ones have been murdered, honoring their lives while affirming our shared commitment to creating safer, healthier communities.

L.A.U.R.A.'s long-term vision is to grow the Peace Walk into a Community 5K for Peace.
