L.A.U.R.A's Annual Peace Walk & Community Resource Fair
We invite you to join us for the 19th Annual Peace Walk & Community Resource Fair on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Fred Roberts Park: 4700 Honduras St, Los Angeles, CA 9001 | 10AM-4PM.
This annual gathering brings together families, youth, community leaders, and local organizations for a day centered on remembrance, healing, unity, and access to vital community resources.
A Day of Remembrance, Unity, and Community Support
The day begins with a moment of remembrance, honoring and commemorating the lives of homicide and murder victims whose loss continues to impact families and our community. This time of reflection allows loved ones to be seen, heard, and supported while reminding us why the work to end violence matters.
Following the commemoration, participants will join together for the Peace Walk, marching through the neighborhood in a powerful show of unity and solidarity. Together we walk with one message: Stop Violence. Practice Peace and Love.
The walk symbolizes our collective commitment to ending violence and building a safer future for South Central Los Angeles.
Community Resource Fair & Family Celebration
After the walk, participants return to the park for the Community Resource Fair, where families can connect with organizations providing valuable services and opportunities, including:
- Job and career resources
- Medical screenings and health services
- College and educational information
- Legal aid and community support programs
- Family services and youth opportunities
In addition to these resources, the event also creates space for community celebration and connection through a fun-filled afternoon that includes:
- Live entertainment and music
- Family-friendly games and activities
- Food
- Raffle prizes and giveaways
This year’s live music performances will feature The Soto Band and Milanés Brothers, bringing energy and celebration to a day rooted in resilience and hope.

Why This Event Matters
Since 2007, L.A.U.R.A. has worked to support families impacted by violence while building stronger relationships between residents, community organizations, and local leadership.
At the heart of this work is a simple but powerful mission: to put an end to violence by listening to the concerns of our community, providing support, promoting healing, and building relationships with our local law enforcement.
Over the years, L.A.U.R.A. has become a safety net for victims of crime and the loved ones of homicide victims, offering guidance, resources, and compassionate support during some of the most difficult moments families may face.
The organization works to bring needed resources and opportunities to mothers, fathers, and children living in communities that have too often been overlooked in Los Angeles, while creating pathways toward healing, leadership, and hope.
The Peace Walk & Community Resource Fair reflects this mission by:
- Supporting families and loved ones impacted by violence
- Connecting residents to critical resources and services
- Empowering youth through positive engagement and opportunity
- Strengthening community collaboration and civic participation
Each year, 1,000 children, youth, and adults attend this free community event, making it one of the largest gatherings dedicated to peace, healing, and empowerment in South Central Los Angeles.
