Who We Are
Born from the impact of violence in South Central Los Angeles, L.A.U.R.A. (Life After Uncivil Ruthless Acts) was created to transform loss into action. Grounded in lived experience and compassion, we walk alongside families through grief, empower youth toward safer futures, and bring vital resources directly to the community.
Our Impact
- Supporting families through crisis and grief since 2007
- Engaging youth in prevention and empowerment programs
- Connecting thousands of residents to vital resources each year
- Mobilizing a community committed to peace, healing, and hope
LAURA's Victim
Support Program
The Victims Support Program aims to create strength out of tragedy, and unity out of pain. We act as a bridge between families who have suffered devastating loss and existing resources. We take a holistic approach — offering support to the family of the victim and the family of the perpetrator, connecting suffering families to concrete help and creating stronger, healthier communities.
